Volfířov
Volfířov je nejjižnější vesnice v oblasti. Leží v údolí Volfířovského potoka na soutoku s Řečickým. Nad obcí v údolí se zvedá Novodvorský vrch 560 m.n.m.
První zmínka o obci pochází z roku 1349, kdy se o obci píše, jako o součásti panství Bohuňka a Mikuláše z Volfířova.
Kolem roku 1300 byl postaven raně gotický kostel sv. Petra a Pavla, po roku 1500 je přestavěn.
V roce 1787 byla vytvořena pečeť, na které je zobrazena kostelní věž s nápisem WOL OBC. V roce 1894 zde byla postavena škola, v roce 1979 byla zavřena a žáci byli přeškoleni do Dačic a Velké Lhoty.
Východně od obce, směrem na Dolní Němčice se nachází studánka zvaná „ Na Svaté “, ke které se váže legenda, že zde ukryl kněz z Volfířovského kostela tzv. „Svátost oltářní“ před Turky. Dodnes zde existuje pahorek „Na turku“, kde měli dle legendy Turci vojenské ležení.
V současné době se v obci nachází obecní úřad, obchod, hospoda, zemědělský podnik Volfířov a.s., dvě truhlářství a veřejná knihovna, kde bude v nejbližší době zřízen přístup k internetu pro širokou veřejnost.
